The line up is easy to put down on paper but not so easy to follow. One of the most rhetorical things we can have in life is the line up. I use it for cologne crafting from the first step to the last one all the same each time, and duplicable for anyone I instruct to follow the process.
What aroma are you trying to create so kind of the purpose.
Gather the ingredient and prepare the order of the each being added to the mixture.
Add the gathered ingredient and mix together
Test the mixture does it smell like what you envisioned. It might help to do a smaller mock up of the fragrance as a test, this way you use less of your raw ingredient.
If the creation passes the smell test and application to skin its a go. Bottle it and proceed to the next step.
Give your new fragrance a name. What did you think about when you created the fragrance, reflect on the purpose.
If you are really on to something you can give the fragrance out to family and friends to see if it will appeal to one of them. You gather the feedback and you will know if you are on to something of not.
